Unwind and relax whatever the season at Wisdome Cottage in a deeply rural setting an hour north of Auckland.
We’re the perfect destination for those en route to the Bay of Islands, situated 10 minutes east of State highway One.
Close to the Matakana Wine country, spectacular beaches and beautiful bush walks, Wisdome Cottage is a faithful replica of a 17th century Devon farmhouse. Features include recycled timber ceilings, wooden floors, open fire and handcrafted joinery made from NZ native timber. Nestled in country gardens, the house is tucked into the fold of the hill overlooking the Waiteitei Stream.
Accommodation is offered in two generous queen-sized rooms, one with ensuite, the other with private bathroom. Tariff includes a cooked/continental breakfast which can be served on your own balcony overlooking the river or in our farmhouse kitchen.
Evening meals, featuring home-grown produce and local wines, by arrangement.
