Parkley Cottage Farmstay is located 10kms north west of Amberley. Set on 80 acres of beautifully contoured farm land in the foothills of Mt Grey.

There is a natural stream running through the property. At the base of a smoothly rolling bank is a small lake just down below the Cottage.
Parkley is an extremely comfortable 2 Bedroom solid wood Lockwood Cottage, with open plan living dining room, and a functional kitchen, bathroom and laundry.

We lived in the Cottage for 10 years, so know it and love it well. It comes fully equipped and furnished, plenty of seating, has a heatpump/airconditioner,with new carpet and vinyl throughout - Your perfect home away from home with heaps of room for yourselves and the kids both inside and out.

Parkley Cottage is set on naturally contoured land, with fabulous rural views to the sea(East),Mt Grey(West)and across to our farm hills over a beautifully rolling bank (North).
Guests are welcome to wander through the rose and tree gardens with a mature pine plantation to the west side of the property.
Relax and feel the freedom. There`s plenty of lawn & space for kids to play on, let them spread out.

Located just 45 mins from Christchurch & Airport and only 10 mins from Waiparas` vineyard region it`s also convieniently a 40 mins drive to Hanmer Springs(thermal pools/springs).
We can meet you at the airport and welcome showing you around the district.

Explore the beautiful North Canterbury Region from your base at Parkley. Take time to visit rural towns and villages to enjoy the local food,wine and top class restuarants.

We can organise horse rides, arrange personally excorted tours to suit your interest needs,eg farms,stock sales,A&P shows, vineyards, depending of time of year.

Dine with us in the homestead, by arrangement and we`ll make breakfast for you on request.

Sit in the gardens and listen to nature at its best. Hear the birdlife. Catch a glimpse of the ducks/ducklings and Herons aound the lake and the naturally flowing water in the mountain fed stream.
View the Hawkes flying nearby, diving over the land & bank for food, plus Pheasants, Quail, Bellbirds and Fantails all naturally occurring at Parkley Cottage. Watch the Rabbits/Hares playing in the fields, as well as stocks of sheep,cattle and horses. All of this you see from the Cottage windows.

A beautiful verandah and tiled Patio on North side of cottage with views down to lake and stream brings the outdoors to you. Complete with Picnic Table, Sun Umbrella and Chairs available to use. Heaps of `your space`.
