The Airport Birches Motel is located 5 minutes from the airport, but out of the flight path, offering our guests the convenience of being close to the airport without the noise.

We offer a courtesy coach pickup service for most flights & the train service. Please note our courtesy coach only operates between 9:30am to 1:00am. As well as a park and fly option, should it be needed.

The Hornby Shopping Mall is approximately 5 minutes drive away, 7 minutes to Westfield Riccarton and we are also located close to the Riccarton Racecourse & Riccarton Park Convention Centre.

Being at the crossroads of both the North/South Bypass,&the Main Road to the West Coast makes us the perfect base for your South Island Holiday, with Akaroa, Hamner Springs & Arthurs Pass all within 2 hours drive. For the Skiers we are just over an hour from Porters Heights & Mt Hutt as well as several other ski fields.

If Golf is your sport we are within close proximity to numerous Golf courses, including Clearwater, Russley, Greendale, Templeton Coringa & Harewood Golf Clubs, to name just a few, or there is a mini golf course & driving range a short stroll across the road.
