Cedarview Farm Homestay Bed and Breakfast, where town meets country. We offer high quality 4 Star accommodation.(as inspected & rated by Qualmark NZ)we are located in a lovely semi-rural setting. We moved from the UK to New Zealand in 1986 and simply love our lifestyle. Our modern smokefree home is ideally situated close to the Airport,central Christchurch & all main Highways. We keep a few Beef Cattle,Sheep,& Hens. If animals interest you then an extra hand at feeding time is always appreciated.We also have a farm cat called Alfie and Labrador dog called Ruby.
Take a day trip to see the Whales at Kaikoura or just 90 minutes away is the lovely French Village of Akaroa.During the winter you can spend the day at the local skifields (pick up/drop off at gate). Just three minutes drive away is the large modern shopping area of Hornby with a modern mall, Factory outlet centre, restaurants and bars. Within a short drive you can visit wineries, see kiwis at Willowbank Wildlife Reserve, go to the award winning Antarctic Centre. Just two minutes away is the Templeton Golf Course. Whatever your passion we are close to it.
While with us you can enjoy Carol`s homemade jams and preserves. Free range eggs (providing the girls get busy and lay some of course) and even our own honey.
We offer three rooms ranging in price from NZ $100(single) to NZ $175(double). The Gardens suite is large, has a King bed, easy chairs, TV,Tea/Coffee facilities and ensuite bathroom.The Pines room has two single beds/TV and shares a large adjacent bathroom with the Stables room which has a Queen bed & TV(Pines/Stables rooms are ideal for a family of 4). We have two living areas you are welcome to use with TV & stereo available in the lounge. We look forward to sharing a coffee or glass of wine with you in the near future.

We stayed at Cedarview for the last 2 nights of a 14 night tour of the South Island. We preferred to stay on the outskirts of the City to enjoy the peace and quiet. Although Cedarview is close to the airport noise was not a problem.
Our hosts Terrance and Carol have created a lovely home and they make make you feel most welcome. They are both very interesting people and we enjoyed our conversations with them.
The accommodation is certainly 5 star and we were very comfortable.
