Testimonials
"A holiday we will always remember. It is an amazing spot, a slice of heaven! We look forward to returning soon!" H and S Bullard, Feb 2012
"Thank you very much for a fantastic stay at Tapeka. My family and I had a wonderful 6 days there and it was the perfect place to celebrate my Mother’s birthday. Whilst the location is obviously amazing, we also found the accommodation to be excellent. We loved how everything we needed seemed to be at hand (even little unexpected things like the coffee grinder, binoculars, fishing gear...), and Joy did a good job getting us settled in and keeping us up to date with when the cruise ships were coming in. With the weather being so kind, the kayaks, beach toys and trampoline also got plenty of use, so it was great to have that equipment available" J Greenwell, Jan 2012
“This was our best bach holiday by far. The house was actually better than described on the web site. We could leave our towels on the deck and swim any time of the tide. The views were amazing and the kids loved the beach, playing in the creek and the trampoline. We will definately plan to stay again" G Nathan, October 2008
“It`s all about "Location, Location, Location" and Tapeka del Mar perfectly satisfies all three criteria: almost certainly the ultimate place in New Zealand to watch the sun sink below the horizon as the wine in your glass inexplicably disappears and the kids continue to have the best days of their lives on the safe sandy beach literally at the bottom of the garden. A weekend or week`s stay is inadequate - a decade would be preferable. We had an absolute ball and will do our utmost to repeat it when next we can assemble the immediate family under Tapeka del Mar`s roof. Especial thanks are due to Clive, the owner, whose personal touch included a lengthy courtesy call to ensure that we`d arrived OK, that all was well and that there were no problems or queries whatsoever: he genuinely cared and that`s refreshingly rare. I unreservedly recommend Tapeka del Mar to anyone wishing to sample idyllic beach-side living in New Zealand at it`s best. This family scores Tapeka at a perfect 10/10” David & Sue - Aug 24, 2009
