1. Registering Is Easy.

Just follow this link http://www.nzstays.co.nz/user_reg.aspx to register. When you have finished filling in your registration make sure that you receive a confirmation of registration. If you don’t then the email address that you entered when registering may be wrong and you should correct it OR the confirmation may have gone to your junk email folder. It is important for you to add support@nzstays.co.nz and info@nzstays.co.nz as safe senders otherwise mail may go to your junk emails box and you will miss enquiries.

2. The Registration Form Won’t Accept My Information.

The most common error is in the email field. If you have copied and pasted your address from another location then try to manually type in the email address, making sure that it is absolutely correct. If you are still unable to successfully register then send the information below to us at support@nzstays.co.nz and we can register for you.

3. Listing is really easy

Just go to this page http://www.nzstays.co.nz/user_login.aspx to login and make sure to read all the text as you proceed. If you read everything, don’t just skim then you won’t have any trouble. We can do most of a listing for you but our minimum charge is $25.

4. I can’t find my location on the Google Map.

Firstly Google is good but it’s not perfect. To start the search place the most basic address details of your location in the search field (town and country - no full stops or commas) and check the location. Next include the street in the address and check again. Finally place your property number in the search field. If you cannot find an exact location on the Google map then use the search that gave you the closest result.

5. My Pictures Won’t Upload

If you are having trouble uploading your digital photos the most common reason is a slow ISP service. The second reason is that the file size of the photos is too large. If you know how to reduce the size of your digitals then sizes as small as 50K will look ok on NZstays.

6. Activating and using the calendar

Activating

When logged in and on the first page which is the Owner Home Page

Click on View calendar which is under the small picture of your listing.

Click on Add a new booking

Fill in the required details and dates.

Click on the Add Booking button to save the booking.

Before logging out tick the Display calendar on listing box above the calendar.

How to Edit or Delete A Booking
Click on View calendar which is under the small picture of your listing. Go to the month where the booking is located and under that month you will see all the bookings for that month – just click on the delete or edit booking link to change or delete the booking.

Click on the Add Booking button to save the booking.

7. How To Pay For Your Listing

When finishing your listing you’ll see two buttons at the bottom of that listing page – one to pay by credit card and the other to pay via Pay Pal. We prefer to use Pay Pal who claims to be the most secure credit card system in the world.

To pay by EFT (direct deposit or bank transfer) use our bank details below.

It takes about two working days before we see the payment in our account when paying by bank transfer and we make your listing active as soon as we sight the deposit.

Paying By Credit Card makes your listing active as soon as you pay. After logging into your listing you can click on the credit card button at the bottom of your listing form. On that page you can use a Pay Pal account if you have one OR you can use your credit card to pay where you see the bank card logos which is the same as any other time that you have used your credit on the net to purchase something.

Please be sure to include your listing number in your deposit details

8. How Long before My Listing Appears On the Site Live

If paying by Pay Pal or Credit card your listing will appear as soon as the transaction is approved which is normally only minutes. If paying by EFT bank transfer allow two working days for deposits made within NZ and up to five working days for deposits outside of NZ.

9. Can’t Find My Listing

If you have just completed your listing and paid via EFT bank transfer then remember that your listing will not appear until your deposit has been received into our account.

Another possible reason is that you have omitted some detail from your listing such as Location and Region or your listing is ticked off line. If one of these is the case then just log in and finish the missing details or click the listing on line. Always remember to press the update button after making changes to your listing.

10. Editing Registration and Listing Details

After logging in http://www.nzstays.co.nz/user_login.aspx you can change contact details by selecting edit registration in the column on the right of the page. You can change your listing details by selecting “click here to edit description” which is just below the picture of your property or you can choose one of the other features you will see there such as calendar and create my website.

When you make edits to your details always remember to click the update button when finished. When you are finished making changes and ready to leave the page just click on the “Logoff” button” at the very top, right hand side of the page and you are finished.

11. Forgot Your User Name and Password

If you have lost or forgotten your user name and password just click here http://www.nzstays.co.nz/user_up.aspx. Enter your email address in the field that appears and press submit. An email with your details will be sent to your inbox.

12. Not Receiving Emails via NZstays

The best way to make sure that you are receiving email from NZstays and enquiries through NZstays is to send a test enquiry to yourself and to make sure that the email arrives in your inbox; if it is found to be in your Junk Email box then you will have to enter info@nzstays.co.nz into your “Safe Sender List”

13. The Online Offline Facility

NZstays has within its listing system a facility that allows a lister to tick their listing offline or online as needed. It allows a lister the freedom to stop all email enquiry without deleting the listing and saves you having to go through all the trouble of re-listing when you need it again.
