After logging in
http://www.nzstays.co.nz/user_login.aspx you can change
contact details by selecting edit registration in the column on
the right of the page. You can change your listing details by
selecting “click here to edit description” which is just below
the picture of your property or you can choose one of the other
features you will see there.
When you make edits to your details always remember to click the
update button when finished. When you are finished making
changes and ready to leave the page just click on the “Logoff”
button” at the very top, right hand side of the page and you are
finished.

A free website accompanies every listing that you have with
NZstays, unless you have your own site then I’m sure that it
will interest you. You can see a sample site at this address
http://eaglesnest.kiwiweb.net.nz and more samples when you
start a new listing. You will be able to create the free website
only after your listing is made live.
Many people are using the free web site because it has a
calendar which appears not only in the listing but automatically
on the free website as well. The website has all the content of
the listing. What people are doing is placing a link to their
new website from the other accommodation sites that they are
listed on directing enquires to their website if they want to
see availability. In doing this they have to maintain only the
one availability calendar instead of having to maintain and
update several calendars. The calendar is extremely user
friendly - We designed it that way from personal experience with
other sites calendars.

Creating your FREE website

After completing and making your payment and while still logged
in you will see (just below the little picture of your listing)
links to view listing, edit listing, upload photos, create
calendar and at the very bottom “create your website”. Click
there and you are two steps away from having your own website.
Just register your chosen domain name, select your preferred
website design and press confirm. The page that opens next will
have below that same little picture of your listing the links to
Change website design - View website - cancel site – Your new
web site address
Note. Your website is a total slave to your listing (what’s in
your listing will be in your website)
Put in your listing some nice photos and about 25 lines of good
descriptive text. Don’t forget your Google map, your calendar
and your one to five star ACCOMrate because they will appear in
your new website.

Submitting your new
site to Google - THE FOLLOWING IS IMPORTANT

Submitting to Google, Yahoo. Bing/MSN and 20 other less
important sites.
If you have taken us upon the offer of creating your own free
website from your listing then now is the time for you to submit
your new website to the search engines so that they will know
that your website exist and to index it for inclusion in their
site.
Below we have included the web addresses of the three most
important search engines that you should submit your new website
to.
You’ll find that submitting your site is more than easy. Just
click on the search engine submission addresses which we have
included below, fill in your address where indicated and press
enter.
Your website address should look something like this http://youraddress.kiwiweb.net.nz
Notice that there is no www in the kiwi.net address so don’t
include one when submitting.
The best way to accurately copy your website address is to login
and you’ll see the web address just under the small picture of
your listing on the owner home page. Copy and paste it into the
submission field where required.

PAYING FOR OR
RENEWING YOUR LISTING BY EFT or CREDIT CARD

1. First Log into NZstays listing by clicking on this link

2. Click on the ‘PAY FOR NEW LISTING OR RENEWAL link which
you’ll see just below the small picture of your property (as
below)
3. At the bottom of the next page you’ll see the ‘PAYMENT
METHODS’ buttons.
4. Click on the Credit Card button. You don’t have to be a Pay
Pal member to use a credit card on Pay Pal.
5. On that next page you’ll see the message below -
Click on the word Continue to go to the
credit card payment page.
Don't have a PayPal account?
Use your credit card or bank account (where available). Continue
Paying by EFT (Netbank)
It may take up to three working days before your listing is
activated

I can't find
my location on the Google Map

Firstly Google is good but it’s not perfect. To start the search
place the most basic address details of your location in the
search field (town and country - no full stops or commas) and
check the location. Next include the street in the address and
check again. Finally place your property number in the search
field. If you cannot find an exact location on the Google map
then use the search that gave you the closest result. If all
this fails please contact us to place the map for you.

My Pictures Won’t Upload

If you are having trouble uploading your digital photos the most
common reason is a slow ISP service. The second reason is that
the file size of the photos is too large. If you know how to
reduce the size of your digitals then sizes as small as 50K will
look ok on NZstays.
A very easy to use program to reduce large digitals can be
downloaded here

Activating and using
the calendar

When logged in and on the first page which is the Owner Home
Page
Click on View calendar which is under the small picture of your
listing.
Click on Add a new booking
Fill in the required details and dates.
Click on the Add Booking button to save the booking.
Before logging out tick the Display calendar on listing box
above the calendar.
How to Edit or Delete A Booking
Click on View calendar which is under the small picture of your
listing. Go to the month where the booking is located and under
that month you will see all the bookings for that month – just
click on the delete or edit booking link to change or delete the
booking.
Click on the Add Booking button to save the booking.

How Long before My Listing Appears On the Site Live?

If paying by Pay Pal or Credit card your listing will appear as
soon as the transaction is approved which is normally only
minutes. If paying by EFT bank transfer allow two working days
for deposits made within NZ and up to five working days for
deposits outside of NZ.

Can’t Find My Listing

If you have just completed your listing and paid via EFT bank
transfer then remember that your listing will not appear until
your deposit has been received into our account.
Another possible reason is that you have omitted some detail
from your listing such as Location and Region or your listing is
ticked off line. If one of these is the case then just log in
and finish the missing details or click the listing on line.
Always remember to press the update button after making changes
to your listing.

I'm Not Receiving
Emails via NZstays

The best way to make sure that you are receiving email from
NZstays and enquiries through NZstays is to send a test enquiry
to yourself and to make sure that the email arrives in your
inbox; if it is found to be in your Junk Email box then you will
have to make sure that NZStays is in your “Safe Sender List”

Using The Online
Offline Facility

NZstays has within its listing system a facility that allows a
lister to tick their listing offline or online as needed. It
allows a lister the freedom to stop all email enquiry without
deleting the listing and saves you having to go through all the
trouble of re-listing when you need it again.
