Capture the magical moment from our 200m cliffs that over look Purakaunui Bay. Part of the movie 'Narnia' (The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe) was filmed here.

'Greenwood is now farmed by the fourth generation (over 100 years of farming). Alan has a wealth of local historic information and loves to tell stories of how the district was developed.

The Catlins has many good fishing rivers and there are possible opportunities for sea fishing at nearby Hinahina Cove.

Take an evening walk after dinner to the Purakaunui Falls to see the glow worms (we provide road safety gear and torches).

Many rare plants and wildlife can be found in the Catlins rainforest. Good walking tracks lead to picuresque waterfalls and lakes, beaches and wild coastlines. Seals, hooker sea-lions, and the yellow-eyed penguin are just some of the native animals special to this forgotten coast. Hunting, horse riding, fishing, surfing, boating, and tramping ... it is all here for you. We help you plan each day inthe Catlins.
